Supporting Local Charities with Fresh Produce: A Scout Initiative
Scout Leader Dallas Kalber and Tiger Scouts from Cub Scout Pack 321 harvested vegetables from the Father Louis Lohan Irish Garden at St Thomas Parish in Long Beach. Judith Kalber, Everett McLeod, Connor Thompson and Ashlyn Bourgeois loaded their baskets with cucumbers, yellow squash, and green peppers. The haul of fresh vegetables was turned over to the Saint Vincent de Paul Society to provide freshly picked garden produce for their clients.
The planting and upkeep of the garden is a project of Cub Scout Pack 321.
