BAY ST. LOUIS — Fathers today face challenges no generation before has encountered. From social media shaping identity to smartphones influencing relationships, modern digital culture presents new pressures on families and faith life. To help dads navigate these realities with clarity, courage, and conviction, Our Lady of the Gulf Parish will host “Strong Fathers. Strong Families.”, a special workshop designed exclusively for fathers.

The event will take place Saturday, March 28, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of the Gulf Community Center in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.

Titled “Navigating a Digital World with Clarity, Courage, and Faith,” the workshop will address the growing influence of technology and digital culture on children and families. Topics include the impact of social media on identity, the role smartphones play in shaping relationships, and the growing concern over online pornography and digital dangers.

The event will feature spiritual insight and real-world legal expertise from leaders working directly on the front lines of family and digital safety, including:

  • Father Michael O’Connor
  • Judge Desmond Hoda
  • Chris Daniel
  • David Allen

These men work on the front lines of the legal and digital realities affecting families today and will be sharing practical guidance and encouragement for fathers navigating these challenges. Together, these speakers will offer both faith-based guidance and practical legal insight into the realities families face in today’s online environment.

Fathers who attend will gain:

  • A clear understanding of how social media and pornography affect children and teens
  • Practical strategies for setting digital boundaries in the home
  • Tools for beginning “courageous conversations” with their children
  • Awareness of legal realities and online dangers
  • Spiritual formation to lead their families with confidence and authority

Organizers describe the gathering as a focused effort to equip and strengthen fathers, recognizing their essential role in guiding and protecting their families in an increasingly complex digital world.

The event is open to all fathers in the community. A light breakfast will be served, and the event will include resources that fathers can take home to help lead their families with confidence and faith in the digital age.

This is for Dads only, RSVP by visiting olgchurchevents.com or contact Cecilia Escobedo at 302-367-5273 for more information.
