Share Your Catholic Stories and Images

The Gulf Pine Catholic wants to focus on personal stories and actions. What better way to share our faith than through testimonials and faith stories! For example, we’re shifting to a special interest piece on a person or family involved or benefiting from a ministry rather than an event or a parish ministry. Instead of “Ways to prepare for Lent,” we’d focus on some ways a specific family observes Lent in their home.

Once a story is submitted, it becomes the property of Gulf Pine Catholic. Gulf Pine Catholic is not liable to compensate the author. Articles will be published at the Editor’s discretion. All articles submitted are subject to editing by the editor for content and style. We may contact you for more information.

Photos

We are always seeking photos from parishes and ministries around the Diocese to collect in our SmugMug digital albums for use in articles, materials, and social media.  Bear in mind that photos of large groups are less likely to be used, since faces are hard to distinguish. Photos depicting activity are more likely to be used than posed photos of people standing in a line.

Photo Criteria

  • send in JPEG or PNG format
  • must be at least 300dpi – In order to ensure the photograph meets this requirement, set the camera to the largest image file setting available (usually labeled “L” for large).
  • include a caption:
  • identify people in the photo by name (from left to right: L-R)
  • include information about what is going on in the image
  • the date of the photo
  • who took the photo
  • Signed photo release for those identifiable in the photo (where applicable)
