The Diocese of Biloxi Office of Education is pleased to welcome Tricia Harvey as the new Administrative Coordinator of Catholic Schools.

A lifelong Catholic with deep roots on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Tricia was born and raised in Biloxi. Her parents, Reggie (deceased) and Darlene Harvey, made many sacrifices to ensure that she and her siblings received a Catholic education; an experience that has shaped her lifelong commitment to Catholic schools. Tricia attended Nativity BVM Elementary School, Sacred Heart Girl’s High School, and Mercy Cross High School before earning a Bachelor’s Degree from Delta State University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from St. Joseph’s College in Standish, Maine.

Tricia brings 23 years of experience in Catholic education within the Diocese of Biloxi. She began her career teaching at Our Lady of Fatima Elementary School before moving to St. James Catholic School, where she served in several roles including computer teacher, assistant principal, and most recently principal for the past three years.

Throughout her career, Tricia has been passionate about the mission of Catholic education. She values the opportunity Catholic schools provide to share the faith daily with students while helping them grow both academically and spiritually, forming them as intentional disciples.

In her new role, she will assist in supporting Catholic schools across the diocese. She expressed excitement about the opportunity and said she is honored to work alongside Superintendent Jennifer Broadus and the Office of Catholic Schools team.

While she looks forward to this new chapter, Tricia says she will greatly miss seeing the students at St. James each day. Her hope and prayer is to continue supporting them, and all students across the diocese, in this new capacity.

I am excited to take on my new role as Administrative Coordinator of Catholic Schools, and I look forward to the challenges of helping all the schools in the Diocese.  I am also very honored and happy to work alongside Jennifer Broadus, our Superintendent.
