St. Alphonsus Celebrates Catholic Schools Week with Patriotic Rosary
St. Alphonsus 1st through 6th graders “Celebrated Our Nation” for Catholic Schools Week. First, Assistant Principal Mrs. Lauren Ross asked students questions about our nation’s symbols. Then, the students formed a Patriotic Rosary around the gym. Each Faith House was assigned a decade of the rosary. A Hail Mary was said for each of the 50 states. As they completed each Hail Mary, students placed a candle on a United States map corresponding to the state they were praying for. At the conclusion of the rosary, students sang “God Bless America.”
