Major General Jeffery W. Hammond to speak at Ultreya
BILOXI – Major General Jeffery W. Hammond will be the lay speaker at the next Ultreya on September 21 at 7 p.m. in the St. Michael Parish Life Center.
Major General Hammond is a retired United States Army officer who previously served as the commanding general of the 4th Infantry Division and commander of U.S. forces in Baghdad, Iraq. He has the following commendations: Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, and Army Commendation Medal.
He was in his office at the Pentagon when it was attacked on September 11th.
