Eucharistic Procession & Vincentians in disaster recovery

0

(Left Photo) On June 10, a Eucharistic procession took place in Pass Christian with Holy Family, St. Thomas and Our Mother of Mercy. They started with a Mass at Our Mother of Mercy and processed through Pass Christian to St. Paul Chapel.

(Right Photo) St. Elizabeth Seton’s St. Maximilian Kolbe St. Vincent de Paul Conference in Ocean Springs combined resources with the Ocean Springs St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store to relocate a family whose home was damaged from the recent tornado in Pascagoula,. The family had recently been relocated into their new residence from Ocean Springs with the help of both local Vincentians and our Ocean Springs Thrift Store. They were a family in need facing an unplanned eviction when their residence was sold. The recent tornado that struck the Moss Point area damaged a wide area along our Gulf Coast, leaving many families homeless as their homes were damaged. The family had the roof of their apartment building torn off during the storm and the building was condemned. Our Vincentians were asked to help, again. Working together, our Vincentians relocated the family to safe respite, and their possessions to a secure facility. Our St. Vincent de Paul disaster recovery team can be found at: Disaster Services. ssvpusa.org/tag/disaster-services/. What a great outcome!
