2026 Bishop Louis F. Kinneman Religious Education Quiz Bowl

On July 26, the Inter-Parish Youth Council in the Diocese of Biloxi met to hold their annual religious education quiz bowl. The council consists of St. Therese of Lisieux, Our Mother of Mercies, St. Rose de Lima, and St. Peter the Apostle. As this was year two of this event, St. Peter’s was defending their current title as 2025 champions. In the competition the teams from St. Therese – Zoe Johnson, Madasyn Thomas, Lauren Hanshaw, St. Rose – Javien Thompson, Carter Labat, Michael Brewer, and St. Peter’s – Joseph Anderson, Uriah Wright, Vaughn Wright battled to get the most points by answering questions from each of these categories: the Catechism of the Catholic Church, The Mass, The Bible, The Rosary and Church history/Practices. Although the competition was neck and neck at the end of some rounds, St Peter the Apostle came out on top claiming the 2026 championship. Congratulations to St. Peter’s for their victory and thank you to St. Therese, and St. Rose for their participation.
