St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, became a place of deep prayer and joyful devotion as parishioners and visitors gathered to celebrate the Holy Infant of Good Health. Rooted in reverence, hope, and faith, the celebration reflected the close-knit spiritual life of the Gulf Coast community and its enduring trust in God’s healing grace.

The devotion to the Holy Infant of Good Health centers on the image of the Christ Child, symbolizing innocence, compassion, and divine care for the sick and suffering. At St. Anne’s, this devotion has grown over time through parish prayer services and personal testimonies of healing and consolation.

The celebration opened on Wednesday April 22 and Thursday April 23, starting each day with Adoration, The Rosary Prayer, Procession and then Mass. Each day of the Triduum celebration was reverently celebrated and marked by special prayers for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. The celebration concluded on Sunday April 26 with a Solemn Procession and Mass, led by our own Bishop Louis F. Kihneman III, Bishop of Biloxi and concelebrated by Fr. Joseph Trinh, Parochial Administrator of St. Annes Parish along with Fr. Daniel Patino, Pastor of Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos Parish.

During the bilingual liturgy, the Bishop spoke about the significance of placing trust in God during times of vulnerability. He emphasized that the Holy Infant of Good Health reminds believers that Christ enters human suffering not from a distance, but with tenderness and compassion. He encouraged parishioners to entrust their worries, illnesses, and fears to God while supporting one another as a faith community.

Following the Mass on Sunday, the celebration concluded with fellowship among parishioners. The community participated in a special celebration filled with traditional foods and drink, family games along with entertainment including cultural dances and songs.

The celebration of the Holy Infant of Good Health at St. Anne’s Church stands as a powerful witness to faith alive in action. In this community, the cherished devotion continues to inspire hope, comfort for the suffering, and strengthen the spiritual fabric of its people.
