The Knights of  Peter Claver & Ladies Auxiliary (KPCLA) of Council and Court #25 celebrated St Peter Claver Day on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at St Therese’ of Lisieux Catholic Church, Gulfport, MS. The Mass was uplifting and a challenge for us to embrace the cost and commitment of true Christian discipleship. St Peter Claver, our patron saint memorial is on September 9th.  The Knights of Peter Claver, an International Catholic fraternal service order founded by four (4) Josephite priest and three (3) Black laymen in Mobile, Alabama on November 7, 1909. The headquarters is now housed in New Orleans, Louisiana and has a membership of 18,000 Catholic family members. The Organization encourages lay apostolic and Catholic action, promotes faith, community service and social justice including addressing issues of racism, human trafficking, domestic violence as well as award scholarships and support educational initiatives. The organization is open to Catholics who have made their first Holy Communion, ages 7-18 for the Junior Division and 18 and above for the Senior Division.
