Strengthening Marriage: Insights from Relationship Resilience Workshop
Over a dozen local couples gathered at St. Joseph’s Parish in Gulfport on Saturday, February 14th for a marriage workshop titled “Relationship Resilience,” led by Catholic Charities of South Mississippi’s licensed therapists Michelle Eleuterius, Juliet Liuzza, and Brooke Peleaz.
The two-hour workshop focused on practical communication tools for married couples, combining clinical expertise with Catholic marriage traditions. The workshop’s highlight came when Father Uko led couples in a renewal of their marriage vows.
Exercises included practice sessions on soft start ups, make and receive repair attempts, compromising, and soothing yourself and your spouse after conflict. We are so grateful for Fr. Uko and St. Joseph’s parish for making marriage enrichment a priority!
