St. Alphonsus Students Pray for America: A Living Patriotic Rosary Event
St. Alphonsus 1st through 6th graders “Celebrated Our Nation” for Catholic Schools Week by praying the Patriotic Rosary. Students formed a Living Patriotic Rosary around the gym. Each Faith House was assigned a decade of the rosary. A Hail Mary was said for each of the 50 states. As they completed each Hail Mary, students placed a candle on a United States map corresponding to the state they were praying for. At the conclusion of the rosary, students sang “God Bless America.”
