Advent Concert

Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cathedral will present a special, liturgical concert-service entitled: “Advent Lessons and Musical Reflections” on Sunday, December 7th at 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon. Fashioned after the traditional Christmas: “Lessons and Carols”, this unique scripture and music program illuminates the meaning and depth of the Advent Season of prophecy, expectation and hope as reflected through images of the prophets and the Angel Gabriel. This year’s special feature is Antonio Vivaldi’s “Gloria” presented with a small chamber orchestra. The concert is an offering of the Music and Fine Arts Ministry of the Cathedral and is presented by the Community Choruses of “Gloria In Excelsis” and “Mobile Vocal Arts”.
