St. Thomas the Apostle Parish Celebrates Couple’s 50 Years of Marriage
Carmen and Mike Peters St. Thomas the Apostle Parish News Father Satish, Pastor 50th Wedding Anniversary Mass May 30, 2025 On May 30, 2025, Carmen and Mike Peters celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary Mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Long Beach, MS. It was very special because it was celebrated on the same weekday, the same 5:00 time, using the same songs and readings, and the same church as 50 years ago! Father Satish Adhav was the celebrant, and their children, grandchildren, son-in-law, and niece served as attendants. Also, their great -nephew, Carter VanDalsem, a student at St. Vincent de Paul Elementary, served as altar server. Afterwards, they enjoyed dinner and wedding cake at Chimney’s Restaurant in Gulfport, MS. They are thankful to God for the gift of our Catholic faith and for the trust placed in His covenant through the sacrament of marriage. May God bless all couples who are getting married or celebrating anniversaries in our wonderful Diocese of Biloxi!
